![]() Because in such case, Alex and her friends would have never been to the island to start the adventure, all developments of the characters will be lost as well, not having the slightest impact on the characters in the alternative reality. What's worse, one of the most frustrating parts of this game is that, not only any decision you make will be rendered meaningless in the time loop, but it will be non-existent if *this* Alex manage to warn *another* Alex about what happened on the island. ![]() Nonetheless, just like the ghosts' claims, even if it works, none of such actions will really matter, since the protagonists who successfully receive the messages will be the ones in another reality, Alex and her friends, who are trapped in an everlasting time loop in this reality, won't actually get out of the loop instead, she and her friends might as well keep starting over from the very beginning and probably end up becoming the ghosts who have long since forgotten who they are. And, by discovering the truth and that the ghosts even confess that such things and twists already have looped countless times, Alex will even come up with an idea that if she can talk to the radio and send the messages to Alex, Jonas, and Ren in another reality, she will probably be able to warn them and dissuade them from ever coming to the island in advance, thus keep everyone from entering the loop in the very beginning. Certainly, if you even care to start another playthrough after the first loop, you will easily notice the difference in the dialogs and certain scenes and that Alex-and Jonas, eventually-actually gets some sense of deja vu that everything did happen before. No matter how intriguing the personality of each character is, how you try to make Ren and Nona romance each other, how you try to bond Alex with Jonas, either in the form of accepting each other as a new family member or in the form of intimate friends or whether you do bring Michael back to life and decide which direction he and his love should go, as long as the loop never ends, these decisions will never count anyway. No matter how hard you try to develop your favorite character, like Jonas in my case, after a quick update after the ship scene in the end, things will still go back to their original status, just to start another loop again, which makes the fact that nothing really matters in the end quite obvious. Since the game is based on an infinite time loop, any decision, any talk, and any discussion in the game will end up being meaningless, regardless of how deliberate you make your decisions. However, the very thing that pissed me off, is the aftermath, too. Not only every choice of dialogs will fit the talk seamlessly, depending on your choices, you can actually develop the characters and change the fate of everyone in the aftermath. Although at the first glance, the storyline seems a bit too typical-you know, throwing some parties, something bad happened, trying to escape, that kind of things-it is the superb voice acting that brings the characters to life, and makes the story feel real, vivid, and plausible. As a result, our main protagonist, Alex, with her somewhat embarrassing step-brother, Jonas, become the most important characters responsible for not only searching for their displaced friends, but also seeking possible explanations to the bizarre phenomena simultaneously, which then becomes a crucial mission that aims to get everyone out of the island. Later on, a simple and enjoyable sneaky adventure soon turns ugly and everyone is overwhelmed by the confusing phenomena that keep happening around. Then, something evil and ghastly comes up to ruin their vacations. ![]() Drink, game, smokes, campfires, some sort of entertainment drugs, those teenagers things, you name it, all make their appearance in the game as well. ![]() The protagonists are typical teenagers, almost constantly looking for excitements and chances to hang around. Generally speaking, one of the most amazing features is the excellent voice acting. After reading a couple of reviews and watching several in-game videos and screenshots, I almost bought it right away since the content really seemed interesting and the price was reasonable. I first noticed this game when Steam was on Halloween sale. By deadshot465 | Review Date: NovemWarning: Extreme Spoiler Alert. ![]()
